What we collect
When you sign up on this site we store your email address, the kind of phone you use, how you mostly ride and whether you have a power meter or heart-rate sensor. Nothing else is collected from the form. To stop spam, we also use your IP address when you submit: we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of it for about an hour to limit repeated sign-ups, and we pass it to Buttondown, which checks it for spam.
What we use it for
- To invite you to the Android closed beta through Google Play.
- To tell you when Dropbar launches, and when the iPhone version is ready if you picked iPhone.
- To pick a mix of phones and riding styles for the beta.
We don't sell or share your details, and we don't use them for advertising.
Where it is kept
Sign-ups are stored in a database on Amazon Web Services, which hosts this site. Only Dropbar can read it. Your email address is also added to our mailing list at Buttondown, which sends the confirmation email, the beta invite and the launch news.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads. The Instagram link takes you to Instagram, which has its own privacy policy.
